Immigrants Who Shaped America Currency

Embarking on a redesign of American currency, I celebrated the invaluable contributions of immigrants who have shaped the nation's identity. Each bill, while adhering to standard criteria American currency follows, showcased a different immigrant figure and their notable achievements. The $10 bill featured Irving Berlin, the Russian-born composer and lyricist, while the $20 bill honored Madeleine Albright, the former Secretary of State. On the reverse side, these bills displayed prestigious awards these individuals received for their exceptional work. This project aimed to reimagine currency as a tribute to the diverse and collaborative spirit of America.

I had the opportunity to explore various methods to distinguish the bills, drawing inspiration from currencies around the globe. Each bill boasts a unique color scheme, and I incorporated a chrome strip as an additional security feature. Reimagining something as present as currency was a a really fun experience.
